Kobukuro's "Sakura" released in 2005 is also a good one.
At the Coming-of-Age Day, Saitama city holds a ceremony at the Saitama Super Arena to celebrate each year's new adults lives in Saitama city.
I also attended that ceremony three years ago.
Then all the participants sang that Kobukuro's "Sakura" together at the end of the ceremony.

"Sakura" by Ketsumeishi
One of my best sakura songs is Ketsumeishi's "Sakura".
It was released on February in 2005, when I was a second year of my high school.
Emi Suzuki, who was a model of the popular fashion magazine "Seventeen", appear in this music video as an actress.
One of my friend Hayato likes her very much, and he would stop the video while I was singing that song at karaoke.
Now he works in Okinawa as a policeman.
It's so hard for me to meet him again, but Ketsumeishi's "Sakura" always reminds me of our beautiful high school days.
Exactly we were in the spring of life then.

Gyokuzouin
I took the following pictures in front of the famous temple in Urawa called "玉蔵院 (Gyokuzouin)".
A beautiful Shidare Zakura (weeping cherry)!!
It is said to have lived for more than 100 years.
This sakura blooms earlier than the most popular sakura Somei Yoshino.
I also look forward to seeing them in full bloom soon. (^^)

Spring has come
The white dandelions in my house welcomed the spring with blooming.
It's the first day of April, and also sakura season has come in Japan.
The Japanese Meteorological Agency said Monday that the country's capital was officially in bloom.
But this year, the usual excitement "Hanami (cherry blossoms viewing)" has been overshadowed by the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami that devastated the northeast coast, as well as the ongoing nuclear crisis.
This forbearance is a kind of Japanese cultures; to celebrate the arrival of spring or to have a drunken orgy seem to be inappropriate in this serious situation we're facing now, and we also think it's so rude to the victims.
Exactly the annual orgy under the full-blooming sakura this year is going too far, but our happy feeling that occurs naturally in our mind when we see the beautiful sakura is sure to be a hope for our future.
In this sakura season, I'll upload some sakura pictures and sakura songs on my blog.
I hope that everyone feel something heart-warming from my pictures or songs.

Sayonara Bokutachi no Youchien
Do you know the song "さよならぼくたちのようちえん(Sayonara Bokutachi no Youchien)"?
This is a kindergarten graduation song that has become common in the last several years.
It was recorded on Toshihiko Shinzawa's CD, and it was released about fifteen years ago.
And the same titled NTV drama special was aired last night.
That drama made 6-year-old actress Mana Ashida the youngest lead role ever in Japanese drama history.
Well......I would have been moved to tears more and more if it hadn't been for the accident on the broadcast.
Anyway, the song was so nice, I think.
The following video shows the last 8.5 minutes of that drama including the song in the final climactic scene.
Warning: If you didn't see that drama yesterday and are thinking about watching it in future, do not see the following video!!

King Kazu
Did you see today's football charity match?
Japan national team had 2-1 victory over J-League select side.
But......regardless of the victory, that charity match could encourage the victims of the earthquake and tsunami, I think.
Especially the wonderful goal shot by a 44-year-old striker Kazuyoshi Miura, who is known as for his nickname "King".
He must be a king!! (^o^)
Tendenko
Kamaishi Higashi Junior High School and Unosumai Elementary School are located in the devastated city on the jagged estuary coastline of Iwate.
But......all of the 212 junior high school students and 350 elementary school children on the site are alive.
Why?
......The answer is "Tendenko".
"Tsunami tendenko" is an old saying in the region, which means that if you want to survive a tsunami, you should run away without even stopping to worry about your family.
Just after the earthquake, students and children rushed out of the school and headed to higher ground.
Grabbing the hands of elementary kids in the lower grades, they kept running for an elderly nursing facility on a hill about one kilometer away.
When they saw the waves closing in from behind, they did not wait for instruction from teachers.
About 10 minutes later, both school buildings were engulfed by the tsunami.
Thanks to repeated tsunami drills, they managed to escape the first wave of tsunami to hit Kamaishi.
Was it a miracle or an inevitable conclusion?
Whichever it was, there was no doubt that education at school saved their lives.
