My Teacher's Birthday

I forgot to upload an article about a very important day, January 11th.

On that day we had a birthday party for Mr. Ogura and Ms. Araki.

One of the teachers Rikiya Nakagaki and I planned to make nabe for dinner, so I had to bring a big pot from my house.

Here is our dinner. It was a brilliant taste beyond my expectations.

Then after the eating, we gave a present to each of them.

I'll show you my present for Ms. Araki at first.

These are charm-stones.

Ms. Araki looks tired always and seems to feel much stress so that I decided to present her birthstone as a talisman.

The left one is a garnet, which is said to bring the owners a great success.

The right one is an onyx, which removes her uncleaness or evil.

And next, here is a present for Mr. Ogura.

A Michel Klein tie studded with designs of small stars.

These days he often wears it. I'm glad he likes it.

I hope both of them will enjoy their lives and be happy ever after.

Happy Birthday!! (*^▽^*)

Perfect timing, wasn't it?

He is the 5th ex-student that I saw this month.

Mystery Piano strikes a chord

from ABC News

.

This is a musical, maritime mystery!!

A grand piano popped up on the little sandbar near Miami.

Can you guess how it got there?

The solution of this mystery has already turned out, indeed.

But I would prefer it not to be solved...

SHYK

I saw one of my ex-students Sho Hagiwara in front of ダイソー(Daiso; 100 yen shop).

He was going for somewhere with his friends.

Of cource he looks frivolous as before.( ̄▽ ̄;)
And just soon after that, I happened to meet another student Yoshiro Kimura at the corner of 力(Riki; yakitori shop).

He is in the badminton club and he told me that he had little time to study.

He also told me that his marks were slightly above average.

I'm much pleased that both of them enjoy their own school lives.

New Briefcase

February 25th is my birthday.

My grandma wanted to buy something that I really want for my birthday, so I asked her to give me a new briefcase.

In the middle of January, when most shops were having a sale, my grandma and I went to 伊勢丹(Isetan) to find a good one.

Then I found a good one with a good price at COMME ÇA MEN, which is one of my favorite brands.

Here.

EIKEN Test

Most of all the Eigonoie students took an EIKEN test last Sunday.

Eigonoie has been approved by STEP to administer the test, so I was an examiner of grade pre-2 in the morning and grade 2 and 3 in the afternoon on that day.

Before the test, we told the students to mark both on their answer sheet and test booklets so as to check the answer quickly.

Then I've checked them all today.

Well......I hoped everyone would pass.

But...............only a few students will fail this test. (≧へ≦)

How can I encourage them to have a positive motivation??

WAN TAN HAO

My lunch today is here at 雲呑好(WAN TAN HAO) in Tachikawa ecute.

I found this shop last year and have been there many times.

The chefs and the staffs are from China so that we can enjoy genuine chinese noodles.

Today's my order is Sichuan Set, which includes Sichuan Dan Dan Noodle and Mapo Dofu.

It's so hot and spicy that always my tongue feels numb.

A little addicted. ( ̄∪ ̄)

Tokyo nimo attanda

Not in Yamanashi but in Tokyo...

Walkin on this mountain path, I feel like hiking to university.

And I heard something rustling through the bushes.

Strange university, eh?

Real Spirited Away

See!!

Can you believe your eyes??

A tunnel is in campus!! Σ(゜д゜;)

It must be a real Spirited Away....lol

Arrival

Arrive at the university.\(^o^)/

But do not be off guard!!!

Can't see the Law Faculty building!!

We need ten minutes more on foot to reach there.(^□^;)

Transfer #2

立川駅(Tachikawa station) is the second transfer station.

Passing through the JR ticket gate and walking a little, I can see a monorail station 立川北(Tachikawa-kita).

多摩都市モノレール(Tamatoshi Monorail line) runs very slowly.

The passing views from the train window are so nice; we can see Mt. Fuji if it's a fine, clear day.

Transfer #1

西国分寺駅(Nishi-Kokubunji station) is my first transfer station.

中央線(Chuo-line) is always in chaos...

Last Day

Today is the very last day when I go to the university.

So I'd like to show my journey to the university as a memory.

My journey starts from 武蔵浦和駅(Musashi-Urawa station).

埼京線(Saikyo-line) and 武蔵野線(Musashino-line) stop at this station, and I use the latter one.

I always get on the second door of the third car from the front.

This train is famous for its much frequency of the accidents.

But there seems to be no problem today, and I'll be able to enjoy the next 30 minutes in the train. (^∪^)♪

MAYK

I saw two of my students Mirai Aoyagi and Yuko Kogure!!

They found me in Eigonoie and made a fuss in front of the entrance....lol

I haven't kept in touch with them, but they are not so changed as I saw them last.

We could talk for just a few minutes.

I'm so glad to see their smiles. ( ̄▽ ̄)♪

New Diary

I bought a new notebook (pocket diary) yesterday.

Here!!

I found this at the stationery shop in Tachikawa ecute called "Smith", which is under the direct management of DELFONICS.

You can find the same shop in Urawa Parco.

All Exam Done

I've finished all the exams and have only to submit one report by Friday.

Only one or two days are left that I can be on campus.

Hmm......a little sentimental (・ω・`)

Massive Talking Point

Our goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima will be banned at least one game at the Asian Cup because he was given a straight red card during the Thursday's 2-1 victory over Syria in a Group B game.

Japanese players had remonstrated for about five minutes that the assistant had raised his flag for an offside position before Kawashima comitted his foul.

But Iranian referee Torky Mohsen insisted that it wasn't offside because the ball was played back to Kawashima by a Japanese defender Konno.

Here is the controversial scene.

Actually it's difficult to see the truth from the video, but the commentators say,

"It MUST be offside!!"

Feel Bad

My boss Mr. Ogura allowed me to go home today as he worried about me.

I can't stop coughing...(´Д`;)

What's worse, I have to take 2 tests and submit 1 home assignment (this must be hardest for me).

Kill me......

Ad inserted Newspaper

See!!!!!!

The advertisement of Eigonoie inserted in a newspaper was delivered to people living in around Urawa this morning.

And now we're waiting for any inquiries after the effect of our ad.

Eigonoie provides a very first lesson on February.

Looking forward to seeing new students!! (*^▽^)/

Men in Gyudon

Now 3 Gyudon chains offer all the dishes with a special discount, and I went to Yoshinoya today.

To my surprise, all the costomers were men!!

Women don't eat Gyudon, eh??

Sweet on Street

On my way home, I found this on the road.

What kind of guy dropped...?? (^□^;)

Be A Good Teacher

Today I have to say goodbye to two of my friends.

They are in the same situation as me, I mean, we're studying at the university on the additional year after the graduation to get a teaching certificate.

Of cource I'm a quite different type of man among them so that we'll be a different type of teacher in the future.

But I feel so glad to meet them because I could reduce my stress by talking with them every Wednesday.

I would have been all alone at college if they hadn't been there.

Thank you so much.

I wish they will be a good English teacher someday!! (*^_^*)

Fun-Mon

Oh well, you might want to know what songs I sang yesterday.

Of course I like English songs, but I don't sing them because my friends don't know them so much.

I also like to sing Japanese songs.

Especially my recent favorite singer is FUNKY MONKEY BABYS.

I think their voice is so clear and their lyrics are so pure.

It is also popular that they feature celebrities in their promotion videos.

Their voice, lyrics, melodies, and promotion videos......my heart was touched by everything of them.

8th single "告白 (Kokuhaku)"

If you're interested in them, go to http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=FUNKY+MONKEY+BABYS&aq=f.

All Night Karaoke

I drank with older Eikoh friends the day before yesterday, and I did with younger ones yesterday.

I love those members because they know what's the most important thing; building the good relationship between not only teacher-student and teacher-parents but also teacher-teacher leads to a success.

Actually there're some iron-hearted men in Eikoh now, so it must be too stressful for them.

So I think Nana's resignation was correct and it was a brave decision.

Well after the drinking party, we went to Karaoke U-Style to blow steam off by singing.

It was after a long separation that I played with my friends all through the night.

Yeah, you know, Mr. Takano and Nana were very crazy indeed!! (^□^;)haha

But all we could vent our frustration and laugh our cares away.

Sempai get married

Yesterday I had a drinking party with my ex-coworkers of Eikoh.

Our boss Mr. Saito also attended that party and we talked a lot about good old days and bad present days...(^□^;)

To my surprise, 2 or 3-years-older sempai Tsuji-kun and Maimai will get married!!

Happy wedding!!(≧▽≦)/

Jan. 2nd - 3rd

I applied for a part-time job at Eikoh Seminar when I was a freshman in college, and since then, I had taught not only English but also other subjects (even mathematics) to 2nd - 9th graders there.

Most of companies have the New Year holidays, but on January 2nd and 3rd, Eikoh provides a special course called "正月特訓Vゼミ (Shogatsu Tokkun V Seminar)" for 9th graders, who are studying for the entrance exam.

Of course I had to attend that special seminar......yeah, actually I had no New Year holidays during my university days.

But.....

I had quit the job at Eikoh last March and had no work at New Year's Day!!

Yeeeaaaaahhh!! (≧▽≦)/

Then, I went shopping for 初売り (Hatsuuri; the first bargain sale of the year) after an interval of 5 years!

What made me surprised the most was the crazy crowded shops and a long long line of people waiting to pay.

...Just like a swarm of ants...(・o・;)

I don't feel like working at New Year's Day, but I found that being in crowds is much stressful than being at juku.

Well, being at home with family is the best at New Year's Day. (^□^;)

Hatsumoude

I went to 調神社 (Tsukinomiya Shrine) and made an invocation a few minutes ago.

This is my Hatsumoude (first shrine visit) of this year.

I didn't go Hatsumoude last year and I don't think my last year is good.

Then I decided to go there on the midnight of the first day because I supposed that there would be few people such a late time.

My wishes?......It's a secret. (^o^)

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year!!

I wish all of my friends, family, students, teachers, and other acquaintances will be happy and make their lives enjoyable this year.

"Where there's a will, there's a way."

This is my motto of this year.
