Shinji Kagawa Returns to Samurai Japan

Shinji Kagawa has come back to international action with two goals to lead Japan to a 3-0 win over South Korea yesterday in a warm-up game for World Cup qualifiers next month.

The 22-year-old Kagawa, who broke a metatarsal bone in his right foot against South Korea at the Asian Cup in January and missed the rest of the season as a result, avenged it by scoring in the 35th minute and in the 53rd.

Remember Nagasaki

Three days after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima in 1945, the United States exploded a nuclear device over Nagasaki.



As well as in Hiroshima, the annual event commemorating the 66th aniversary of A-bombing was held in Nagasaki, which the U.S. representative took part in the 66th anniversary for the first time.


I hope that both Japan and the U.S. exert leadership to realize the world without any nuclear crisis.

Blueberries

Many of riped blueberries in my garden are ready for harvest.

All respect for Matsuda

A minute's silence was observed before kick-off for former Japan defender Naoki Matsuda, who died at the age of 34 on Thursday.


All players and officials in every J-League game wore black armbands as a mark of respect for Matsuda.


His former club Yokohama F. Marinos wanted to beat Kashiwa Reysol as to show their appreciation , but they got a result of 2-0 defeat.

All Marinos footballers wore the same Matsuda's uniform during the warm-up.

In Saitama, Vissel Kobe had taken a 2-0 lead through Takayuki Yoshida's two goals in the first half, but Urawa Reds hit back after the break with strikes from substtitutes Tatsuya Tanaka and Mazzolla.

And regrettably, Yoshito Okubo scored a penalty in the third minute of injury time to give Kobe a 3-2 win over Urawa.







I felt disappointed at that time.

But I also admired the first two goals from Takayuki Yoshida, who was born on the same day as Matsuda.

Takayuki Yoshida showed Matsuda's number "3" with his fingers after his goals.

Remember Hiroshima

66 years have passed since the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima at 8:15 a.m. on August 6th, 1945, and another on Nagasaki three days later.

The annual ceremony to mark the 66th anniversary of the bombing are taken place at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park today.






The time have passed, but the people in Japan cannnot eradicate the fear of nuclear crisis still now.


Indeed, that fear has been etched more indelibly in our mind after the horrible erathquake and tsunami hit the eastern Japan only 5 months ago.






Never forget the nuclear crisis happened twice in 1945 and in 2011.


We have responsibility to to tell the fact and experience in the both time to future generations.


Remember Hiroshima and Fukushima.

Doubtful & Polluted rice Mr. Cesium

Can you believe your eyes when you see a telop like this?

This telop was broadcasted on Tokai Telvision's "P-CAN TV" by accident yesterday.


The words "doubtful rice", "contaminated rice", and "Mr. Cesium" are the most indecent expression.





I wonder why that crazy telop was aired at that time.


Accident?


If it was an accident or not, the existence of the telop is a massive talking point.

I bought a new ONE PIECE manga volume 63.

Removing its jacket, we can find a message saying "Don't be gloomy if you're my crew!!! Cheer up!!!" like this.

And the record for the most copies in its first printing was broken - Japanese publisher Shueisha is producing 3.9 million copies of the 63 volume.




There is no sign of an end to its long-term popularity.
