Imonoko-Jiru

Yamagata is very famous for its imoni, which is a type of soup containing beef, taro, sugar and soy sauce.

You may have seen the imoni festival taking place near a river and people making imoni with a huge pot.

There are many diferent recipes for imoni in Tohoku region.

It is ccalled "Imonoko-Jiru" in Shinjo, and to make this, people use a sweet soy sauce named "Ajimaruju" and round-shaped konjak named "Tama-Kon".

Of course, my grandma made me Imonoko-Jiru yesterday.

It was simple and tastes good. (^o^)
